Submissions

 

We intend to publish poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, op-ed, and art. Our ultimate goal is to build a platform for marginalized and underrepresented writers/artists. 

Our submission period is currently CLOSED, but for those interested in submitting work during future submission periods, our guidelines are as follows:

 
Guidelines:

  • Any style or topic is welcomed.

  • Simultaneous submissions are allowed.

  • We are happy to accept nonexclusive online rights.

  • You should receive a confirmation email after submitting.

  • There is no submission fee!

  • Making submissions to multiple categories is permitted.

  • Accepted authors/artists will be contacted to do an optional author profile interview with us that will be uploaded and highlighted here on our website!

  • ​Accepted authors/artists will also receive an invitation to do a reading and/or to promote their work at our celebratory release events!​

  • The previous submission deadline was May 31, 2021.

Fiction: No minimum word count, maximum word count of 1,500 words. Maximum of 1 fiction piece allowed to be submitted per person.

Nonfiction: No minimum word count, maximum word count of 1,500 words. Maximum of 1 nonfiction piece allowed to be submitted per person.

Poetry: Poems should not exceed 300 words. Maximum of 5 poems allowed to be submitted per person.

Op-Ed: No minimum word count, maximum word count of 800 words. Maximum of 1 op-ed piece allowed to be submitted per person.

Art: Art using any medium(s) will be considered, artists must include the title of the work and medium(s) used. Maximum of 5 artworks allowed to be submitted per person.

Additional Requirements: All submissions (Art Submissions included), must be sent as a DOCX, DOC, or PDF file. Submission documents should include your name, preferred name for publication/pseudonym, and the title of the piece.
